An Ensemble Learning Method for Robot Electronic Nose with Active Perception

نویسندگان

چکیده

The electronic nose is the olfactory organ of robot, which composed a large number sensors to perceive smell objects through free diffusion. Traditionally, it difficult realize active perception function, and meet requirements small size, low cost, quick response that robots require. In order address these issues, novel with was designed an ensemble learning method proposed distinguish different objects. An array three MQ303 semiconductor gas electrochemical sensor DART-2-Fe5 were used construct nose, four algorithms realized odor function. experiment results verified accuracy can reach more than 90%, even though 30% training data. based on improve efficiency data collection perception.

A stereo electronic nose for a mobile inspection robot

Automatic sensing of gas distributions could be very useful for a number of industrial applications. However, while individual gas sensors can be relatively cheap, they can only cover a small area. To cover larger scale environments such as warehouses and factories with a fixed installation of sensors, an arbitrarily large number of sensors would be required, resulting in very high set-up costs...

Predicting Odor Pleasantness with an Electronic Nose

A primary goal for artificial nose (eNose) technology is to report perceptual qualities of novel odors. Currently, however, eNoses primarily detect and discriminate between odorants they previously "learned". We tuned an eNose to human odor pleasantness estimates. We then used the eNose to predict the pleasantness of novel odorants, and tested these predictions in naïve subjects who had not par...

Comparision of Electronic Nose with Biological Nose

ELECTRONIC Noses (EN), in the broadest meaning, are instruments that analyze gaseous mixtures for discriminating between different (but similar) mixtures and, in the case of simple mixtures, quantify the concentration of the constituents. ENs consists of a sampling system (for a reproducible collection of the mixture), an array of chemical sensors, Electronic circuitry and data analysis softwar...
